Our ecosystem is on the verge of collapsing due to pollution and human practices. Due to the express need for environmental conversation, Paramount Bank carried out a tree-planting programme at a park whose community has continuously been supported by the Bank over the years.
Our efforts showed immense results in giving back to the community through rehabilitation of a recreational park where the land was illegally grabbed and recently recovered by the residents.
The Bank contributed towards a tree planting campaign to rehabilitate the park, working together with the International School of Kenya. Due to the on-going pandemic, the tree planting campaign was put on hold.
The rehabilitation of the park aimed at enhancing community development, creating a safe and secure environment for the area residents.
The Going Green Campaign has also been established at the Bank premises where we are continuously pursuing knowledge and practices that can lead to a more sustainable environment to sustain our natural resources for the generations to come.
Energy efficient measures are being carried out in the Bank such as use of energy saving bulbs, which have incredibly reduced the amount of energy consumption. The Bank processes are transitioning and adapting to the digital era, going paperless. Contactless payments are being encouraged; banking is now at your fingertips, accessible at your convenience through your mobile phone, internet banking and card facilities.
Together with MasterCard, Paramount Bank is in the process of providing its clients with virtual pre-paid cards that can be accessed directly from our Mobile App. This will reduce the amount of plastic cards being distributed, as well as increase the amount of security for the customer. In addition, earlier this year, the bank introduced the ‘PIN by SMS’ service to clients in the bid to reduce the amount of paper consumption when sending customers their card pin numbers.
